3D Printing
When Hobbies Collide!

When Hobbies Collide!

In my research the best picture panels are Chromaluxe. They are a bit more expensive than some others I saw, but they are thicker and longer-lasting. The preferred way of hanging these glossy aluminum pictures is to buy their $4.00 block of particleboard and another piece of smaller aluminum that has a hanging hook/hole, giving it space to float off of the wall. Well, I didn’t want to pay $4.00 per picture sold, and I have a 3D printer… So, I hopped on tinkercad.com and whipped up a 1-inch block with built-in hanger that could be glued to picture panel. I’ve also seen some pretty strong double-sided tape I might have to test out. Just wanted to point out that one hobby is helping another new hobby, and that I am capable of finding cheaper solutions and increasing margins.
