Finally got back to making some art

I need to get on here and blog/post more. Think the last post I made was about all the distractions I’ve had lately, including a 3D printer I received for Christmas. It’s still very much a fun distraction. I have a toy that makes toys! I wanted to notate that I was Benson’s Infusion Brewing Co. first BFF(Benson First Friday) artist. Every month in Benson they feature local artists and I was offered a great opportunity from a great friend. During the month of March, I sold 6 prints totaling $110. I’ve been commissioned by friends to create imagery for shirts and other various projects. I will include some of the progression shots on these yet to be finalized pieces. It really feels good to not only have people say they love what I’ve done, but are willing to throw money in my direction for my time/efforts. I am pleased to say I am taking all these proceeds and once again investing in myself. I have decided to try my hand at screen printing on foil paper. The paper isn’t cheap and the ink is about 4 times the price from what I was using with my original screen prints. I hope to get my hands on foil paper and ink within the next month and I hope to create some great artwork that will take advantage of the foil rainbow effects. Don’t know what I’m going to illustrate yet, but I know I want to have this knowledge under my belt and have a dazzling product at the end of the day.
